Agility in CO

Original Proposal had 480 entries a day for an all breed trial in Fort Collins CO. This number was used because the 2009 Longs Peak Dog Training Club trial had this numbers :

Saturday 480 ,  Sunday 463

This trial back in 2009 was the first two judge trial in the building we plan to use for 2013. We changed the revised Budget after the 2010 Longs Peak Trial (late October)

Saturday 646 ,  Sunday 603

this numbers mean that Saturday the trial was full (660 runs max, but difficult to get to that with two judges/three classes) we used 660 entries in our proposal because we wanted to use a very conservative number. Why is this number conservative :

- Denver is a booming agility area

- AKC agility entries on average grow almost 10% a year

- AKC changed the waiting list rule this spring, it is now possible to really fill the 660 runs

- this summer there is an additional class, Time2Beat

- 100% full trial in budged where 100% full trials happen

- the facility in Fort Collins could host a three judge trial (990 entries max)

newest comment/question from SCC/BCA board (May 2011)

According to the AKC web site recent agility trials in the area in 2011 have not filled. 100% entry is not realistic.

so here the list of all 2011 AKC all breed agility trials in the Denver area

And over new year there was a 3 day trial in Windsor less then two miles away from the ranch, only room for one ring/judge, but many consider it the best surface in the west. entry fees are almost double to other venues ... all three days 1 judge 100% full, was told this is random draw for years.
fri - sun : 330 each

also last fall a location 10 miles away from where we plan our trial

Longmont November 6-7 (think sat you can call full two ring/judge ;-) )
